Miscellaneous Odds and Ends, Part 3 (or something)

Hahahaha, another photo of Zafirah has sprouted up, just when I thought I’d have to wait longer before a new photo surfaced:

Her front left knee looks wavy, doesn’t it? Like her knee was put on backwards?

Update on the Grimm’s Fairy Tales book I bought— it arrived, and JACKPOT!!! It does have writing in it! Yay!!!! Whenever I get a book with writing in it I feel like I found buried treasure. I wonder what the people who wrote in that book would think if they knew that seventy-two years later, a stranger would read their message and wonder about them. Here is the book, dirty cover and all:

The hand written message:

And the Forest Man/Creature whose sack-shoes I have always been fascinated with (Breyer had cut him out of their blog post, leaving only Princey-Prince visible):

Back to model news… my CCA order arrived yesterday evening, and I received the glossy Indian Pony. I wasn’t sure when my order was going to arrive, because for whatever reason, the UPS tracking showed the shipment as canceled. I then received an email with a new tracking number, which proved to be valid. I’m just happy the box showed up, and relatively quickly too. I wasn’t drawn for Bunyan, but my hopes are up for Montana (yes, really). Interestingly enough, Breyer put up a message that the selections for Montana are being delayed until next week:

It seems that the backordered Lafayettes are now on the move and I’m interested to see if any in this batch will be the glossy coal black promo photo or the glossy silver/black of the first batch. I’ve seen a couple of photos, but they look like the initial batch.

The Deluxe Collectors Club Stablemate Chalice models are landing. From the in-hand photos I had seen, he is gorgeous! As of right now, my Chalice is slated for delivery on Monday. Newsflash! Chalice just showed up! Here he is:

Check out the detail on his tummy:

My VIP pin appeared last night:

That’s all I think there is for now, but I’m probably forgetting a few things. If so, be prepared for a fourth (or whatever) part. Or maybe I should just title it “The Ongoing Miscellaneous Odds and Ends Feature.”

Short and Sweet (or sour, depending upon your preference)

Sorry for this third post today, but I wanted to get this up tonight as I may not be able to do it tomorrow (planning to work at the farm). Hahahahahaha, Breyer is sending out emails to join the 2022 Premier Club again. They sent out a new photo of Zafirah, all decked out. That’s the thing; when you don’t renew instantly, you get more pictures and information. Here is the photo:

I think I won’t renew my PC membership until December 31 so that I can continue to get the “Join Now!” and “Final Weeks!” and “End of the World! Join the PC!” emails because they are so much fun.

Miscellaneous Odds and Ends

As it turns out, the December blog may be quite busy. I *still* have things I want to get up before the end of the year, but that may not be possible. We shall see how things go. So, to get somewhat caught up we have a few items to mention. Let’s start off with the 2022 Premier Club, shall we? I found a new (to me) picture of Zafirah; it shows more of her against the black background. The one I saw shows just her head and neck, but now we get to see the rest of that dark photo. Here it is, and I wanted to put this photo in here to document it:

Breyer sent out an email showing a Sneak Peek Square of one of the upcoming 2022 Premier Club models and I was alerted to this by blog reader Vanilje Kitten. Sneaky Breyer sending out emails with sneaky Sneak Peek Squares! Here it is, and it would be nice to see more of it, because I am nosey and want to see the whole sculpture:

Under the bullet pointed benefits about the 2022 PC, Breyer stated there is a “FREE new Stablemates sculpture! Available if you maintain your membership.” The bonus Stablemate isn’t a new thing, but I am excited to hear there is a new SM sculpture! The bonus SM for 2021 members in good standing is a mini-me Fireheart, and it would be grand if Breyer would mail Mini-heart with the PC third release (Firefly and Hawkeye). They did combine the Vintage Club bonus Stablemate with the last VC release, so maybe there’s a chance they’ll do it for the PC. As a refresher, here is Fireheart with Mini-heart:

Speaking of new Stablmate sculptures, apparently Breyer sent out an email to entice current Stablemates Club members to rejoin with the lure of a new Haflinger mold, sculpted by Josine Vingerling. I didn’t receive an email on my second account which I have not renewed, so Boo! I like the end of the year join-the-club-for-these-exciting-reasons emails. I’m just lame like that, lol.

Regarding the lottery drawing for Zugspitze, we all had the opportunity to relax this weekend since the drawing had been postponed. There had been some issues with people trying to enter for him, so maybe this glitch is related. No clue what actually happened, but Breyer says they will give us an update this week (hopefully today!). Breyer posted this message on Zugspitze’s page:

This was actually good news for me, because there is still a small chance that I may be drawn. If I don’t get drawn for Zugspitze, I have an extra Theo which can be made into a winter decorator. I really liked the dark green and red of Ivy and Holly (the 2015 Christmas Day horses on the Flash mold), so maybe a Georg in one of those colors is in order. I didn’t bother to buy a Christmas Flash because I don’t conga the mold, but I loved the colors. Just have to keep my fingers and toes crossed that I get drawn for Zugspitze. Good luck everyone!

Random Updates on Breyer Clubs, BreyerWest and Breyerfest 2022

As the year is winding down, Breyer is ramping up the advertising for it’s clubs (Premier and Stablemate) since both clubs have a signup deadline of December 31. They revealed the silhouettes of the molds for the 2022 Stablemate Club, but I’m thinking we may get the silhouette of the new sculpt and whatever the club extra may be (it is an optional purchase) on the 31 of December as we did last year. The silhouettes have been revealed on the banner:

I am fairly happy as this will be the first time I have ever liked all of the SMC molds offered in a year. I am especially excited to see the G1 Draft. Yaaaaaaayyyyyy! I cannot wait to see what color the G1 will be clothed in. I’m also curious to see what color Breyer will put on Lyric (G6 Fjord stallion). Exciting times ahead!

As I have not yet rejoined the Premier Club, I have received a couple of reminder emails which show different angles of the first release, Zafirah. Here they are:

In other news, BreyerWest is taking place February 25-27 next year in Denver, Colorado. It will feature meet and greets, workshops, model horse shows, Stablemate painting, etc. Breyer has teased that attendees will “have access to a special treat,” so that probably means a model. Looking forward to see has been cooked up for BreyerWest! Now let’s head East to see what’s going on with Breyerfest. Oh, it’s news about BF tickets!

Breyer has announced ticket information for Breyerfest 2022, which includes both the in-person and virtual option. I only skimmed the ticket information, and the virtual BF ticket holders will not have the opportunity to purchase the Special Runs. Virtual attendees will get the Celebration Horse Nikolas, and have access to the Breyerfest virtual store, as well as the ability to purchase the Limited Edition models. The Children’s tickets seem to have become extinct, but Breyer has retained the VIP ticket option which debuted last Breyerfest. There is no word as yet of how they are going to proceed with the sale of the VIP tickets. I am guessing Breyer will do what they did last year: start out with a lottery, and then do a first come, first serve sale. I also wonder if Breyer is going to increase the number of  VIP tickets. The one thing I really wish Breyer would do is offer the Event Stablemates for purchase as a four pack without having to be a VIP ticket holder. Anyway, more information should soon be on the horizon, so hobbyists’ questions will be answered. In less than a month’s time the 2022 Breyerfest Blog will start heating up to bring us news and reveals for Prost! and I (along with the rest of the hobby) will see if another Georg will be making an appearance…

2022 Premier Club Reveal: Zafirah

It’s sign up time for the 2022 Premier Club, which is the club’s 10th anniversary. The first release will be Zafirah, a “show stopping mare,” as Breyer describes her. The name Zafirah translates to the English meanings of victory, success, and triumph. Sculpted by Brigitte Eberl, Zafirah wears a dark liver chestnut coat by Myla Pearce. Premier Club memberships are open until December 31, 2021 EST.
