More Miscellaneous Odds and Ends

So just some more miscellaneous thingy things… I wasn’t drawn for Zugspitze, so bummer bummer stinky summer. No waitlist, either. I suppose I need to get my rear in gear and start making plans for my own Georg winter decorator. I don’t want to make a silver filigree replica; I want a different color, namely a dark jewel color. Decisions, decisions…

Breyer posted a Sneak Peek Square of the Breyerfest 2021 VIP pin. We can magically guess it is the rainbow Seven Arts Surprise horse, with VIP lettered across it:

The 2021 Deluxe Collectors Club Stablemate model, Chalice, should be landing in collectors’ hands soon. Mine is showing up in my order history, but the status is unfulfilled (as is the VIP pin). Embarrassingly, I actually forgot about Chalice. The name had come up, and I’m all “Who is that, I don’t remember this Chalice you speak of…” I was reminded quickly enough. Here is Chalice, on the Alborozo SM mold:

A photo of a photo of one of the 2022 traditional regular runs had surfaced, and it is expected that we should be seeing some more of the 2022 line any day now. The Troubadour/Morgan mold is in a -wait for it- solid color. The photo gives him a bronze cast, which looks kinda neat. Troub (rhyme that with Scoob) is a portrait model of MorganQuest Native Sun:

I may buy this guy once I see in hand photos of him. I wasn’t too wild about Troubadour or Ansel, and I think the solid color suits him better.

Hmmmmmm… oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that Twist, the sixth release of the 2021 SMC is available for purchase along with the optional purchase of the two SM foals, Addie and Leti. I better go ahead and buy mine before I forget about them and miss the purchase window, lol.

Breyer also released three new holiday blankets. Previously we had plaids, but Breyer has gone pastel this year:

That’s all I can think of for now, and I’m sure that I have missed some news items. Don’t be surprised if there is a third odds and ends post.

Miscellaneous Odds and Ends

As it turns out, the December blog may be quite busy. I *still* have things I want to get up before the end of the year, but that may not be possible. We shall see how things go. So, to get somewhat caught up we have a few items to mention. Let’s start off with the 2022 Premier Club, shall we? I found a new (to me) picture of Zafirah; it shows more of her against the black background. The one I saw shows just her head and neck, but now we get to see the rest of that dark photo. Here it is, and I wanted to put this photo in here to document it:

Breyer sent out an email showing a Sneak Peek Square of one of the upcoming 2022 Premier Club models and I was alerted to this by blog reader Vanilje Kitten. Sneaky Breyer sending out emails with sneaky Sneak Peek Squares! Here it is, and it would be nice to see more of it, because I am nosey and want to see the whole sculpture:

Under the bullet pointed benefits about the 2022 PC, Breyer stated there is a “FREE new Stablemates sculpture! Available if you maintain your membership.” The bonus Stablemate isn’t a new thing, but I am excited to hear there is a new SM sculpture! The bonus SM for 2021 members in good standing is a mini-me Fireheart, and it would be grand if Breyer would mail Mini-heart with the PC third release (Firefly and Hawkeye). They did combine the Vintage Club bonus Stablemate with the last VC release, so maybe there’s a chance they’ll do it for the PC. As a refresher, here is Fireheart with Mini-heart:

Speaking of new Stablmate sculptures, apparently Breyer sent out an email to entice current Stablemates Club members to rejoin with the lure of a new Haflinger mold, sculpted by Josine Vingerling. I didn’t receive an email on my second account which I have not renewed, so Boo! I like the end of the year join-the-club-for-these-exciting-reasons emails. I’m just lame like that, lol.

Regarding the lottery drawing for Zugspitze, we all had the opportunity to relax this weekend since the drawing had been postponed. There had been some issues with people trying to enter for him, so maybe this glitch is related. No clue what actually happened, but Breyer says they will give us an update this week (hopefully today!). Breyer posted this message on Zugspitze’s page:

This was actually good news for me, because there is still a small chance that I may be drawn. If I don’t get drawn for Zugspitze, I have an extra Theo which can be made into a winter decorator. I really liked the dark green and red of Ivy and Holly (the 2015 Christmas Day horses on the Flash mold), so maybe a Georg in one of those colors is in order. I didn’t bother to buy a Christmas Flash because I don’t conga the mold, but I loved the colors. Just have to keep my fingers and toes crossed that I get drawn for Zugspitze. Good luck everyone!

It Happened: Zugspitze, the 2021 Winter Web Special

Uh huh. The email for this year’s Winter Web Special came out today with a silver filigree Georg named Zugspitze (# 712340):

Exactly the one model I didn’t want to see for the WWS, lol. I was thinking that Breyer might not use him, but it seems 2021 has turned out to be The Year of Georg. I guess since Breyer started the year with Georg (as VC Julius), they decided to end the year with him as well (Zugspitze). Of course, Theo was available all year, and Honeybear is slated to be one of the 2022 Collectors Club web specials, so there is no shortage of Georgs.

There will be 450 pieces made, and Breyer has increased the price a lot for this fellow. Zugspitze is priced at $225, plus shipping. Last year’s WWS was the La Molina and Masella set which was also had a run number of 450, and were priced at $185 plus shipping.

The 2020 WWS La Molina and Masella, just because they are so pretty:

It would be something if Breyer decided to make half of the Zugspitzes in that color-shifting blue filigree… oh my goodness, the utter chaos that would result, hahahahaha. I certainly don’t think they would do that. Now I am left wondering what the Christmas Day Special will be… surely it won’t  be on the Georg mold…

I better be off to enter for Zugspitze as this is one web special I don’t want to forget to enter for. Best of luck to all who are entering!
