New Stablemate Reveals!

 

Ha ha, seems like I will never get that other stuff up! We had a Stablemate reveal yesterday which really wasn’t a huge surprise as Breyer had shown us the silhouette on December 31, 2020 (the last day to sign up for the 2021 SMC). Remember this guy?

Many hobbyists instantly recognized this as Sharif, a resin by Brigitte Eberl. Of course, this Stablemate version is a mirror of the original. His SM debut color hasn’t been announced yet, but we have this:

Today we had a late afternoon reveal for a mini-Fireheart:

Very excited to see both of these new Stablemates as future regular runs. I hope that we don’t have to wait too long!

Breyerfest 2021 Auction Models Lots 13-18, PC Fireheart Update, Breyerfest 2021 Event Program

 

Jumping straight to the most exciting item, the auction models! The final auction pieces for Breyerfest 2021 have been revealed!

I’m so excited about these models, and I won’t even be bidding on any of them, lol. Favorites from this batch of reveals are Fireheart, the Old Timer, Georg, and the Hamilton/Racking Saddlebred Stallion. Lot 14, the Old Timer, reminds one of Jake, the Breyerfest 2002 prize model (20 made):

I really like the red metallic paint on Lot 17, but I would have liked to have seen more of it on the model. There is a lot of white area, and as an auction piece it needs more pizazz (I get that Breyer was going for a Medicine Hat). I still really like him anyway, because I love the Georg mold. Now onto Lot 18 - wowza, the color! Oh how I wish he would be attainable in that color.  So my top 5 favorite auction models for Breyerfest 2021 are:

The first Premier Club horse, Fireheart, is finally ready for ordering after delays:

Breyer has provided a print version of this year’s program in addition to a digital one (which is on the website). The paper program is available for purchase to all ticket holders. It is $5.00 and ships free if it is ordered alone. I did order one to add to my never ending pile of Breyer paper things.

Fireheart Update and a Warehouse Whoops

 

Little bit o’ Breyer news…Breyer sent out an email yesterday updating the status of the already delayed Premier Club model Fireheart. He will be delayed longer, but it is unknown how much longer. Breyer’s email stated that the ordering window for him will be open for a week starting July 7th, close for Breyerfest, and then reopen post Breyerfest for another week. It seems too complicated - I think it would be easier on Breyer if they had one ordering period. Some hobbyists have speculated that perhaps those who order during the first period may get Fireheart before those who order during the second period, but who knows. As long as I get mine I’ll be happy. 

Uh oh, it seems the Wild Warehouse shenanigans are out to entertain us again. Apparently a VIP ticket holder received a box from Breyer containing some of the Breyerfest models she picked and paid for in February. The big question is, was this an isolated mistake, or were other VIP BF models shipped? If other BF boxes have been shipped, we may just find out who the Seven Arts Surprise is. So far it seems just one BF model box was shipped, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Oops, Forgot-Fireheart Delay, and Crane Day!

Doh!!! Forgot to mention that Breyer sent out an email to Premier Club members that Fireheart, the first PC release of  2021, has been delayed. 

I’m not particularly bothered that Fireheart is delayed. I’m excited to see him in person of course, but it is a long wait for the first model’s release anyway, so a few more weeks isn’t a big deal. 

Today is the drawing for Crane, the third release in Breyer’s Birds of a Feather series. I wasn’t drawn for Puffin or Goldfinch, so we’ll see what happens today. Good luck to those who entered!
