Decisions, Decisions for Breyerfest 2021 Models

Just a quick pop in here to talk about the Breyerfest 2021 models I would like to get.  I wasn’t chosen for a VIP All Access ticket, but that’s okay.  Opportunity abounds to get models.  Apparently there is a waitlist, but after that any unsold VIP AA tickets will be added to the First Come First Serve Feeding Frenzy of the 200 VIP tickets which have been retained for the February 1st ticket sales.  I don’t expect to be drawn from the waitlist, and I’m guessing it’s going to be a tad challenging to acquire a VIP ticket.  Breyer should include a small piranha for those able to snag the VIP tickets from their website.  I don’t think CollectA has a piranha in the line, but maybe they can make a super-special-2021-limited-edition piranha for those who do snag a VIP ticket on February 1st.  Lolololol!

*Ahem*  AA tickets will be available soon, so I’ll just try my luck and hope I get who I want.  As most of you know, the AA tickets allow you to purchase two Special Runs and have access to the Limited Edition models.  As Breyer has announced that they will be doing back orders for the LE models, there are no worries there.  Yay Breyer!   I do hope to get one of the Art Movement 4 pack Stablemates, so I better get the piranha picture out for February 1st.  I expect those to go fast. Anyway, here are the SR models I want in no particular order:

1.  Uffington

2. Knossos

3. (shhhh!!! Secret!) Marwari

4. Pollock

Easy enough, right?  No! The 7 Arts Surprise models are throwing a bit of a monkey wrench into my plan!

I cannot make up my mind on whether or not to take a gamble on the Surprise models...so far none of the previous years’ Surprise models have been must-haves.  I have this nagging feeling that 2021 may be the year the Surprise model will be an “I need!”  model.  I may add another AA ticket to take the chance on the Surprise models...

For the no-need-to-panic Limited Editions, I definitely want Josie and Favrile.  I sorta conga Esprit, but there are a few colors he’s in that I don’t care for, so he will never be a complete conga.  I may get an Apollo, but I haven’t decided yet. I’m sure I’ll end up with one.  Series 2 of the Best of Breyerfest Stablemates is surprisingly not a must have for me-I really only want Locksley (the rearing Lipizzaner).  The others in the set are pretty, and I wouldn’t mind having some of them, but overall I don’t really collect any of those molds.  For the go-ahead-and-panic Limited Editions, I may want the Stablemate, whomever it may be.  It hasn’t been revealed yet, nor has the plush.  I don’t collect plushes, so no issues there.

See you later, alligator(s)!
