The email announcing Honeybear’s release tomorrow (March 1st) just came out:
I have been eagerly awaiting this release, but I am unhappy that Honeybear is a “limited quantities - while supplies last” deal. We can all guess he will sell out quite fast. I was thinking that Breyer would repeat what they did with Lafayette last year, which gave the option to backorder Lafayette once the models in the warehouse sold out. I suppose that the Lafayette backorder fiasco helped Breyer decide it wasn’t worth the hassle. As a refresher, some collectors who had backordered Lafayette got him immediately and some who were supposed to get him immediately ended up on the backorder list. There was also a shipping delay, which pushed the backorders to a later delivery date. Annnnnnnyway, I will unfortunately be at work during his release time, so I will need to get someone to order him for me. I could try to run into the bathroom at that time, but reception isn’t the greatest inside the building…oh wait, I have it! Once in the bathroom around 2 pm EST I can jump on the sink and crawl out of the window, use the gutter downspout to climb up to the roof for the best reception, and then proceed to order Honeybear. Then all I have to do is climb back in through the window and pretend a Misson Impossible moment never occurred. The plan is set, my friends! Easy peasy. Muhuhuhuhuhuhuhu! Honeybear shall be mine!
Good luck to everyone who wants to get one!

I'm trying for one too! Good luck on your mission impossible skit lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get a Honeybear! Be prepared to see me on the evening news, lol!
ReplyDeleteLol! Thanks, hope you can too! I have an Oak and I am planning on snagging a Theo this CCA. I really like the mold. The only release I dislike is Julius. :)
ReplyDeleteGot him!! I'm so happy! Did you get yours?
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay! Yes, I was able to order Honeybear the day of his release, and I am so happy that he was made accessible to so many collectors! Excellent job on Breyer’s part.
ReplyDeleteI am too! I hope the BF Limited Editions are the same (they won't be). I need me a Chablis! Lol.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you can snag a Chablis! Breyerfest is going to be very interesting this year.
